The purpose of the ISPI Volunteer Network is to link ISPI members with volunteer opportunities within ISPI. ISPI volunteers have the opportunity to:
- use and expand their professional skills and knowledge
- build relationships within the professional community
- strengthen the field by strengthening the organization which best represents the field

Committees and Task Force descriptions:
- AWARDS
- responsible for selecting the recipients for each ISPI award based on
established criteria, and for presenting the awards at the conference.
Award committees set up to identify recipients for T. F. Gilbert
Honorary Award, Honorary Life Member, etc.
- CERTIFICATION
GOVERNANCE - responsible for developing procedures and standards for
the Certified Performance Technologist designation.
- CHAPTER
PARTNERSHIP COMMITTEE (CPC) - maintains and strengthens communication
between chapters, leaders and the Society. The CPC provides guidance
and serves as a liaison to forming chapters and charter chapters as
they work to maintain local networks in support of ISPI's vision and
mission.
- ISPI
CONFERENCE REVIEWERS - supports the annual spring ISPI conference and
ISPI staff in the coordination of conference activities including the
review of all proposals submitted for consideration of presentation.
- MARKETING
/ COMMUNICATIONS - to promote and market ISPI (and HPT) and its
programs both internally and externally, establish and implement
standardized, easy-to-use and strategically aligned marketing and
provide continuing sales and marketing support in concert with ISPI
staff.
- NOMINATIONS -
seek qualified candidates for the Society's elected offices, involving
as many members as possible in the process. The committee will consider
the largest possible number of qualified candidates, and will evaluate
their qualifications, and recommend a final slate to the ISPI Board of
Directors.
- ONLINE COMMUNITY GOVERNANCE - stimulating ongoing community
development, Promoting
virtual and live community integration, Providing
sufficient back-end community administrator support, and Offering
long-term guidance to the Board of Directors involving matters of technology,
growth, interface, and user-experience are among this new committee's tasks.
- RESEARCH
- continually evaluate research being performed for its relevance to
Human Performance Technology and show the results to the ISPI
membership, to encourage HPT-oriented research in a variety of forms by
ISPI members and other professionals; to cooperate with other
organizations to encourage relevant research, and to evaluate proposals
for research that the Society may at times consider funding.
- VOLUNTEER
COMMITTEE - facilitates connections between members who are interested,
willing and available to volunteer with those ISPI committees and task
forces who have volunteer opportunities.
- TASK FORCES – Task Forces are generally short term commitments – less than a year and change regularly. Current/recent task forces include the International Task Force and the Conference Innovation Task Force.
